Prayers and condolences to the entire Goheen family.
I have only good memories of Howard. From the time our families met at Esher over 50 years ago when I was a small child, Howard (and the Goheen family) was the source of many smiles and laughs. He always left people in a better mood. Over the years, whenever Howard's name would come up in conversation, it was always about something happy or fun. He'll be missed by all who knew him, but he'll live on in our memories.

So sorry for your loss.....His smile was his trademark and his boisterous laughter was so contagious.... Howard was a man of few words but when he spoke you listened .... his love for his family and friends had no end.... I met him through his wonderful daughter Bonnie and she praised her Dad often.... she looked up to him all the time ... for advice and his vast knowledge of almost anything .... if it moved and now doesn't Howard could fix it .... He will be remembered in many hearts and his spirit will be a light to guide them .... So i say thank you Howard for touching my heart and the many jokes and stories you told .... I will remember you ...sending prayers to you and your family.... Sue

As a child growing up in Missanabie Mr Goheen was as much a part of the greater "village" family that helped shape who we grew up to be as any. The "Station" was always a fun place to play as a child and despite the potential trouble a gaggle of children who would gather for each train, could get into, his patience and quick smile never seemed to wane. Mr Goheen will always be a part of my best memories of growing up in Missanabie. My heart goes out to the Goheen family and all who grieve for his passing.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Howard Goheen. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs Goheen and her family. I have not seen Howard for many years, but as a young lad traveling on the Budd Car between Chapleau and Missanabie, Howard and Shirley were fixtures as they were either traveling to the Camp at Goldie or standing by the tracks waiting to be picked up for the trip home. Howard was always friendly and looking forward to Camp. A part Chapleau's character has been lost.

Mrs. Goheen, Lila and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Goheen's passing. He is treasured memory from my growing up years in Missanabie. His quick smile and laughter will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I hope that he and my Dad are having a beer in heaven and talking about the "old" days. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.

Prayers and Condolences to the Goheen Families.
I remember Howard from my time at Franz as agent-operator there for the railway from 1977 to 1991.
We had many "chit-chats" over a coffee at the old Franz Station and occasionally up at the little railway house across the track.
Howard was a "jack" of all trades around the CPR -especially the small gangs whenever they spent time around there on the CPRAIL White River Subdivision.
I also remember him being a machine operator-Assistant Roadmaster-track patrolman.
