Obituary of Deborah Ann Hardy
HARDY, Deborah Ann – With broken hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Debbie while surrounded by her family.
Soul mate, wife, and best friend of Alfie. Incredible Mom to Allie (Cody), and Zachary (Stephanie). Cherished Grandma to Olivia, Alexa, Emma, and Ashlyn. Daughter of the late James and Amber Rathwell. Dear sister of Mike (Denise), Glen, and Tammy. Debbie held a special place for nieces Stephanie, Cathy (James) and her children Sophie, and Noah. She will be fondly remembered for her strength by her in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Deb loved having family at her side. Sleepovers at Grandma’s were a weekly ritual. She loved the outdoors; fishing, gardening, golfing, or being in her happy place – Las Vegas. Deb was an amazing cook who would take a recipe and perfect it her way.
As per Deb’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations to Sante Manitouwadge Health would be greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thanks to Annie who never left Debbie’s side. Thank you to the staff at Sante Manitouwadge, Thunder Bay Regional Centre and the ornge crew for the excellent care.
Cremation took place at River’s Edge Cremation Centre, Sault Ste. Marie. (Arrangements entrusted to Kerry Funeral Home, Wawa, 1-800-439-4937). www.kerryfuneralhome.ca
