Joyce and Terri, my condolences to you both for your great loss. My connection to Greg goes back to ‘73 at Saint John’s Cathedral Boys School. Greg was chumming with my late brother Don in our small community of 120 then too. Upon his graduation they headed back to Vancouver Island and both worked a summer together at a Scout Camp in Sooke.
It was at a reunion camp out in September I spoke with Greg by phone and it is a revelation to say, after all those years it felt like time has not gotten in the way of feeling connected to each other because of that common past experience with the school. Strangers we were not!
Greg has left an indelible mark on us all. Savour your years of memories with Greg. Be at peace.

I really don`t know what to say except that I am so sorry to hear this. I was a student at St Johns school with him from 1972 to 1975, We were dorm mates for grades 11 and 12 and shared so many things during those years. Dog runs, canoe trips, just hanging out. I can still remember times we talked together.
Condolences to all his family.
I have a photo of us on a canoe trip in BC in 1976 beside the Parsnip River.

First St John`s guy I met . He and his wonderful Mom / family lived in 55 Nassau building, same as my Grandparents . We had Grey Cup parties and dinners at his home . And many a weekend adventure during school leave . Greg and I would see each other off and on through the years , Oyster Bay Vancouver Island , Winnipeg , and Wawa for a few . Always had a great time . Its like that , we had a bond of friendship that lasted over 50 years . You wouldn`t see each other for a few years but when you met up within ten minutes it was like old times . I will miss him . My best wishes to Joyce and Terri and Family , I`m very very sorry for your loss .

We did a motorcycle trip to Yellowstone park back in the 70’s . It was after Labor Day and didn’t know most of the business in the park were closed. In true St. John’s fashion we were not prepared for the elevation/ cold but made it there and back !

Greg, you will be missed by all your SJCBS brothers, it was great to hear your voice in September. Have great memories and stories of working together with Donald James in Sooke, Rocky and Quincie, for la Vendange.
Some memories last forever, ours will. I'm sure that in time you and Joyce will be reunited. Until then, be assured, we will carry on treasuring the times we spent together. Rest easy old friend.

Greg was a really decent and solid individual. I havn't seen Greg in what is probably decades yet a group of high school mates at St John's were together camped in Alberta Kananaskis about 3 weeks ago and someone thought it would be a good idea to give Greg a call. We each were able to chat briefly and some not so briefly that evening hoping that he'd be able to make it to another get together next year. At least he'll be with us in memory and in spirit. So sorry that Greg has left this physical realm and my condolences to everyone who was close to him.
