Obituary of Monica Marie Thibault

THIBAULT, Monica Marie (nee Carroll) – At the age of  88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 18, 2022, at the Village of St. Clair Seniors Complex in Windsor Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Andre Ernest Thibault in 1995.

She will always be loved and missed by her children Richard (Miriam), Ronald (Matilda), Diane (Placide) and James (Josee), her grandchildren Cheryl, Andrew, Adam and Erika and great grandchildren Mason, Lauryn and Brayden and her special relationship with Molly Sangster and family.    

She also leaves behind her sisters Madeleine Wardell (Keith) and Patricia Carroll (late Brian); and her brothers Earl Turpin-Carroll (Loretta), Andrew Turpin-Carroll (Judi) and Gary Carroll (Cathy), along with Andre’s surviving brothers and sister of Bic, Quebec. She will be fondly remembered by her numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends spread out over the globe including her godson, Mark Roussell.  

Monique was born on November 14, 1933, in Chapleau, Ontario, lived in Sudbury and Windsor and settled back in Chapleau with her husband Andre. She held a special place for Northern Ontario and especially Chapleau and her numerous friends there. She was an avid berry picker, loved camping by the lakes and especially her camp at Serviss Lake. Later in life she became a painter/artist. 

A public visitation will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Chapleau on Thursday August 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Herve Sauve officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her dear husband Andre at the Chapleau Municipal Cemetery.

All are welcome to the funeral service.

Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated by the family.
