NABIGON-SUHONEN, Marie - A resident of White River, ON, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the age of 73, at the Hornepayne Community Hospital. Marie was born in Chapleau, ON and raised in both Pic Mobert and White River, ON. She then became a long-time resident of Connaught, ON, where she spent many wonderful years with her husband, Jack. She will be lovingly remembered for her laughter and her love for her family. She had a great passion for cooking, crafting and gardening – everyone loved “Mimi’s Indian Tacos”. She also enjoyed many years in the bush, cooking and caring for her brothers as they staked claims throughout Northern Ontario. She was never one to shy away from hard work.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jack Suhonen, her son Dwaine (Sylvie), her daughters Rhonda and Nicole (David), her cherished grandchildren Matthew (Amanda), Caitlynn (Eric) and Nicholas, her sisters Alice Webster, Brenda Savignac (Paul), Corrine Nabigon, her brother Douglas, and sister-in-law Thelma. She is predeceased by her parents Edmund and Adeline Nabigon, her sister Caroline, and her brothers, Wilfred Labelle, Peter, Lambert, Edward, Russell, and John. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. The family extends appreciation to the staff at the Hornepayne Community Hospital for the excellent care provided to Marie in recent years.
